Child Protection Specialist

The Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Protection Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our child protection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Assessment and Analysis: Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify potential risks and develop effective plans to mitigate them.
- Case Planning and Management: Develop and implement case plans that promote the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
- Critical Enquiry: Conduct thorough investigations and use evidence-based frameworks to understand the root cause of issues and identify potential implications.
As a Child Protection Practitioner, you will be accountable for:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Developing and implementing effective case plans that promote the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify potential risks and develop effective plans to mitigate them.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of child protection principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
