About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Banking Consultant to join our team in Loganholme QLD. As a Banking Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing the financial needs of customers and providing options to meet those needs in pursuit of specific sales, service and connected customer targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate opportunities for deposits and home lending using the agreed sales process.
  • Provide recommendations to the Branch Manager for initiatives to improve sales performance of the store.
  • Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication with customers and recommend appropriate options using the agreed sales process.
  • Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals and transfers) in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day to day banking.
  • Support and demonstrate a risk management culture in line with our values.
  • Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues related to your role responsibilities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in business, commercial or finance.
  • Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales & service environment.
  • Analytical skills – ability to develop solutions and courses of action.
  • Attention to detail – accurately checking and processing tasks.
  • Change Management – ability to recognise, understand and support need for change.
  • Commercial Acumen – ability to recognise and implement business strategies.
  • Communication Skills – ability to convey and explain information.
