Lead Injury Prevention and Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our injury prevention and management initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering effective processes that minimize operational impact, reduce costs, and continually improve health and safety results.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead, coach, and develop a team of advisors and coordinators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver high levels of customer focus. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies that align with our health and wellbeing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing injury and claims management policies, procedures, and strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Injury Management & Wellbeing Manager to develop and contribute to the annual Safety Strategy.
  • Providing training and coaching to leaders to improve their knowledge and awareness of health and wellbeing.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and relevance of information in the Injury Management System.
  • Facilitating the timely and sustainable return to work of injured team members.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant Allied Health such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Psychology.
  • Relevant professional association membership and/or registration.
  • 3+ years rehabilitation experience (clinical and non-clinical) and 2 years in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation legislation nationally.
