About the Role

Abbott is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious medical sales professional to join our Diabetes Team as a Territory Specialist. This exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual with high energy, ambition, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Job Description

This role is responsible for promoting Abbott's life-changing glucose monitoring technology to Health Care Professionals in Sydney South & NSW South Coast. The successful candidate will be accountable for exceeding sales targets by executing the business strategy, proactively meeting the dynamic needs of the marketplace, and building superior partnerships with HCPs that bring value to customers and enhance patient lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining a high level of competence in FreeStyle Libre (and its digital products platform) competitor products disease states and industry compliance
  • Demonstrating proficiency in tools of the trade, processes, and policies
  • Developing sales action plans in line with the marketing strategy and evaluating and tracking the implementation of these on an ongoing basis
  • Planning, executing, and analyzing sales calls to create call-continuity with customers
  • Promoting value-add services that improve the quality of care available to patients and creating solutions to meet customer needs
  • Diagnosing and tracking key customer and competitor performance regularly
  • Collaborating with the broader Abbott team to identify new opportunities
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in a Science discipline
  • Relevant industry experience (both Primary Care and Hospital) in medical devices
  • Proven track record in delivering sales targets with demonstrated proficiency in selling skills in a sales framework
  • Business acumen and analytical skills
  • Customer-centric mindset, active listening, genuine empathy, and a strong desire to resolve issues; deliver a high level of customer-focused service to internal and external customers
  • Concise and clear communication with the ability to articulate technical/clinical information
  • Initiative and proactivity to develop account strategies and challenge the status quo while identifying new business opportunities

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
