About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Device Specialist to join our Diabetes Team as a Territory Development Manager. This role offers a unique opportunity to promote life-changing glucose monitoring technology to healthcare professionals in Sydney South & NSW South Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high competence in FreeStyle Libre (and its digital products platform) competitor products disease states and industry compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in tools of the trade, processes, and policies.
  • Develop sales action plans in line with the marketing strategy and evaluate implementation on an ongoing basis.
  • Plan, execute, and analyse sales calls to create call-continuity with customers.
  • Promote value-add services that improve quality of care available to patients and create solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Diagnose and track key customer and competitor performance regularly.
  • Collaborate with the broader Abbott team to identify new opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a Science discipline is essential.
  • Relevant industry experience in medical devices, strong customer-facing experience as a pharmacist will be highly regarded.
  • Proven track record in delivering sales targets with demonstrated proficiency in selling skills within a sales framework is advantageous.
  • Business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset, active listening, genuine empathy, and a strong desire to resolve issues; deliver high-level customer-focused service to internal and external customers.
  • Concise and clear communication ability to articulate technical/clinical information.
  • Initiative and proactivity to develop account strategies and challenge the status quo while identifying new business opportunities.
