Job Role Overview

The Non-Life Actuarial Risk Management team plays a crucial role in monitoring experience and producing quarterly reserve estimates for the business, preparing regulatory reports at year end.

As a member of this close-knit supportive team, you will work collaboratively to achieve common goals. Your responsibilities will include carrying out reserving, monitoring, and associated tasks for valuation segments assigned to you following industry standards and professional requirements.

Key tasks will involve assisting the team with overall reserve review preparation and other analysis, including drafting reports and presenting results to stakeholders. Additionally, you will support the team in preparing results for retrocession pricing and recovery estimates, capital modelling results for the ICAAP, and for capital management more broadly.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and building industry knowledge are essential aspects of this role. You will also build strong networks within the non-life actuarial and underwriting community both locally and within the broader group and the local market.

Excellent communication skills are required as you will present your findings to senior management and work closely with international colleagues on global projects, system roll-outs, and reporting on reserves.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a solid understanding of reserving, preferably including CTP reserving experience, and exposure to IFRS17. Experience with reinsurance/retrocession modelling and capital modelling is also highly desirable.
