We are seeking an experienced Hotel Reservation Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all reservation requests, changes and cancellations. This includes verifying availability of room types and rates, explaining guarantee and cancellation policies to callers and accommodating special requests.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received.
  2. Determine appropriate room type based on guest reservation needs.
  3. Verify availability of room type and rate, explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies to callers.
  4. Accommodate and document special requests.
  5. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
  6. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
  7. Input and access data in reservation system.
  8. Provide guests and visitors with local information from your vast array of knowledge regarding the neighbourhood attractions and amenities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a hotel reservations role (groups reservations preferred)
  • Friendly, confident, vibrant and professional personality
  • Flawless organisation skills and ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent personal presentation and conduct
  • Superior communication skills
  • Intermediate computer and Microsoft suite experience
  • Experience working with PMS, Opera or Fidelio
  • Availability days, nights and weekends (flexible rosters)
  • Responsible service of Alcohol competency card (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full Australian work rights
