About Our Partnership

Page Executive is excited to be partnering with a leader in the Education sector to recruit their Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.

The CISO will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, focusing on strategic planning and actively contributing to the business strategic plan. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Information/Cyber Security Strategy and Business Continuity planning, including defense industry security, network segmentation, foreign interference implementation, and physical and cyber awareness training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focusing on strategic planning and actively contributing to the development and delivery of outcomes of the business strategic plan
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Information/Cyber Security Strategy and Business Continuity planning
  • Delivering programs of work such as Defense Industry Security, Network Segmentation, Foreign Interference Implementation, and Physical and Cyber Awareness training
  • Leading, motivating, and developing staff within the CISO team
  • Acting as the escalation point of contact for complex and sensitive issues
  • Planning, recommending, and actively monitoring the annual operating budget and the longer-term capital spending budget
  • Physical and Cyber Security and Records Management compliance and reporting, including breach reporting to external bodies, and/or reporting to Senior Executive and governance committees i.e., Audit and Risk Committee
  • Recognising the complexities the educational sector faces, establishing alliances across both educational and cyber sectors, furthering understanding of the challenges and sector-wide approach

Requirements:

  • Extensive relevant experience in a leadership role managing Cyber Security, Risk, and/or related Security leadership role
  • People management skills and extensive staff management experience with small to medium-sized teams across multiple locations with the ability to lead, motivate, mentor, support, and develop high-performance teams
  • Proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, and work effectively with executive and senior leadership teams while managing competing projects and/or end-user needs
  • Outstanding communication, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively and persuasively with a wide range of stakeholders, business sponsors, and external delivery partners
  • Highly developed professional, technical, commercial expertise, and business acumen with experience in contract and budget management
