About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee the execution of our IT strategy and manage IT resources and service providers. As Director IT, you will ensure data security, leverage technology to support MACSEYE staff in achieving the mission, and drive our technology strategy.

  • Execute the IT strategy to enable the achievement of MACSEYE's vision and objectives while collaborating with executive leadership on technology priorities.
  • Establish IT policies and standards to ensure compliance and security while effectively managing budgets for optimal resource allocation.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT systems, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of applications.
  • Lead and mentor the IT department, fostering a culture of collaboration and overseeing staff recruitment and training.
  • Ensure data integrity and security, stay updated on regulations for compliance, and communicate IT strategy and updates effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field; Master's preferred. The ideal candidate will have 10 – 15 years of experience in delivering IT services in not-for-profit, human services, aged care, or education sectors, with experience in a CIO or similar IT leadership role.

The successful candidate will possess strong understanding of IT infrastructure, data management, and cybersecurity, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in budget management, strategic thinking, and project management methodologies is essential.
