About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Relations Specialist to join our HR Team at ClearCompany. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and handling all industrial relations issues within our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Industrial Relations Strategies: Develop and execute industrial relations strategies to foster positive employer-employee relations and ensure legal compliance.
  • Grievance Handling: Handle grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions while advising management and employees on IR matters.
  • Negotiations: Lead negotiations with unions to establish and renew agreements, balancing organisational interests with legal requirements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay current with IR laws and regulations to guide compliance and manage risks.
  • Dispute Resolution: Mediate and negotiate to resolve industrial disputes, aiming for win-win outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions for management and employees on industrial relations practices, legislation, and policies.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial relations, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience: Proven experience in industrial relations or employment law, ideally in a managerial or advisory role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Australian IR laws, including the Fair Work Act, effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills with management and unions, familiarity with modern awards, enterprise agreements, and industrial instruments, excellent written and verbal communication, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
