Job Description

**Job Title:** Platforms Manager - Ecosystem Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Platforms Manager - Ecosystem Specialist to join our team at the Office of Industrial Relations QLD. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, measuring, and reporting on the performance, availability, stability, privacy, and accessibility of the Microsoft ecosystem to ensure system health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Report on Ecosystem Performance: Oversee the performance, availability, stability, privacy, and accessibility of the Microsoft ecosystem to ensure system health.
  • Lead a Small Team: Lead a small team to respond to Level 2 service requests, working closely with the Service and Support team to support and maintain existing Microsoft systems, with a focus on SharePoint and MS Teams.
  • Engage with Senior Leaders: Engage with senior leaders to understand technical issues with Microsoft systems, with a focus on SharePoint Online and MS Teams, and forecast items for future implementation.
  • Lead Stakeholder Meetings: Lead stakeholder meetings and committees that assess the technical viability of existing Microsoft systems.
  • Act as Customer for Technical Changes: Act as the customer for future technical changes that are forecast for implementation by a delivery team, by accepting delivery outcomes in consultation with the product owners.
  • Manage Risk: Manage risk related to the technical operation of the Microsoft environment, including all aspects of application health, as well as privacy, and liaising with the cyber security manager through the production readiness checklist.
  • Identify Enterprise Architecture Services: Identify the need for enterprise architecture services and work closely with senior leaders to develop a technical roadmap for the organisation to support the Microsoft ecosystem, with a focus on SharePoint Online, and its relationship to the OIR technical landscape.
  • Forecast and Manage Funding: Forecast and manage funding and vendors for platform maintenance to ensure business continuity and growth of the organisation, identifying emerging threats and solutions to mitigate risk.

  • Leadership Competencies: Align with the Leadership competencies for Queensland under the leadership stream: Team Leader.
  • Skills Framework: Key capabilities align with the Skills framework for the information age (SFIA) framework.
