The Australian National Maritime Museum is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic leader to join our team as the Head of People and Culture for an 18-month fixed-term contract. This role will be responsible for developing a positive, customer-focused, and high-performance workplace culture that aligns with the Museum's mission and vision.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and performance.
- Lead and manage a team of diverse skill sets and experience.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute business plans.
- Provide guidance on contemporary best-practice approaches to people management.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the Australian Public Sector (Federal/Commonwealth).
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary, best-practice approaches to people management, including industrial relations, employment relations, performance management, and learning and development practices.
- Proven experience leading, managing, developing, and motivating a team with a variety of skill sets and experience.
