The IPAC HR Leader plays a crucial role in driving organizational performance and sustainability. This position requires strategic HR support to Senior Business and People Leaders across the region, executing key initiatives and developing a high-performance organization.

This position reports to the Director HR, Defense & Security International and has a dotted line to the Managing Director, Defense & Security, IPAC.
Job Description:As an HR Leader, you will provide HR leadership and strategic partnership to the Defense & Security Business Unit for the IPAC region. You will develop and implement an overall HR strategy to leverage people contribution towards achieving business objectives and results.
You will lead, coach, and develop a high-performing human resources team across the region, drive ongoing cultural alignment and organizational behaviors to the CAE Values, and champion people development as a critical business imperative.
You will anticipate talent needs, use staffing and workforce plans to develop sourcing strategies, ensure succession plans for key positions, and develop a pipeline of top talent.
You will also provide support to the Leadership team to establish development / training requirements for the region and coordinate its execution.
Requirements:- A university degree in HR or related domain with professional HR designation and 7+ years HR experience
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with a minimum of 3 years leading a team of HR professionals
- Solid background in compensation, organizational development / training management, staffing / Employee Relations
- Strong leadership style to lead change management initiatives
- Possession for results; constantly thinking of ways to positively impact the business in an ethical and integrity-based manner
- Ability to create trust and be seen as a key leader in the organization
- Strategic & Tactical Mindset with excellent influencing & communications skills
- High energy level and hands-on approach; with a roll up the sleeves and positive can-do attitude
- Analytical and financial knowledge to make fact-based decisions
- Human Resources skills and knowledge related to regional legislation
- Alliance building and recognized as an effective facilitator
- Experience or knowledge of contemporary, employee-centric EVP practices
- Ability to work across different cultures, different time zones and working remotely with peers and groups
- Ability to attain and retain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance to a Negative Vet 1 Level
- Willingness to travel
