Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Lead to join our team at Amazon Flex in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our labour and conciliation team, you will play a pivotal role in representing Amazon Flex in conciliation meetings with the Australian Fair Work Commission (FWC) and other labour arbitration bodies/regulators.

Your primary responsibilities will include case intake and management, collaboration with our legal team and enforcement owners to mitigate risks, preparing case files, and recommending strategic outcomes. You will also be responsible for providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders on best practices when representing Amazon as a 'witness' in arbitration proceedings.

About the Role:
  • Fair Work Commission Representation: Serve as the primary representative of Amazon Flex in conciliation meetings, clearly articulating the company's position, policies, and relevant regulations during proceedings.
  • Legal Support and Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with teams to assess and mitigate risks associated with labour disputes, compliance issues, and regulatory changes, conducting thorough analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Case File Preparation and Management: Gather, organize, and maintain comprehensive case files, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality, and coordinate with internal departments and external counsel to align on case strategies and timelines.
  • Risk Assessment and Strategy Development: Identify emerging risks, regulatory trends, and arbitration case outcomes impacting the company's operations, policies, and employee relations, developing proactive risk mitigation strategies and policy recommendations.
About You:
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in compliance, audit or risk management
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience engaging with regulatory agencies in permit applications or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing standards, policies and programs or equivalent
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience
