AU Flex Labour and Conciliation Manager, Flex SLS

About the Role:

As a key member of our Amazon Flex team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and mitigating risks associated with labour disputes and regulatory changes. Your expertise will be instrumental in representing Amazon Flex in conciliation meetings with the Australian Fair Work Commission (FWC) and other labour arbitration bodies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Fair Work Commission Representation: Serve as the primary representative of Amazon Flex in conciliation meetings, clearly articulating the company's position, policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Legal Support and Risk Mitigation: Collaborate with internal teams to assess and mitigate risks, conduct thorough analyses of claims and evidence, and advise on strategies for labour disputes and compliance issues.
  • Case File Preparation and Management: Gather and maintain comprehensive case files, conduct deep dives, and coordinate with internal departments and external counsel to align on case strategies and timelines.
  • Risk Assessment and Strategy Development: Identify emerging risks, regulatory trends, and arbitration case outcomes, and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies and policy recommendations to minimize legal exposure.
  • Compliance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor compliance of internal policies, prepare regular reports, and present to senior management and legal on enforcement-related risks and trends.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit, or risk management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience engaging with regulatory agencies and developing standards, policies, and programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders
