About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to join our team at Anton Murray Consulting. As a key member of our asset management division, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of fixed income ETFs, providing inputs to setup fixed income portfolio management and trading capabilities.

Job Purpose
  • Manage the performance of fixed income ETFs in line with their investment objectives and mandates.
  • Monitor daily reconciliations between front office systems and official valuations.
  • Identify and execute trades necessary for funds to meet their investment objectives, including index changes, cash flows, corporate actions, currency hedging and perform portfolio optimisation when necessary.
  • Assist with regular fund reporting requirements, including preparation of reports for management, rating agencies etc.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse investment and trading processes for ETFs from purchase to ongoing allocation and management.
  • Daily monitoring of fund exposures relative to underlying indexes.
  • Daily monitoring and analysis of tracking error, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Liaise with market makers on capital markets activities.
  • Provide input into product development from concept stage to design, index selection and implementation.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, e.g. CFA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of previous investment experience in fixed income portfolio management and trading, direct indexing/ETF experience an advantage.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of financial products, strong analytical and numerical skills to calculate and interpret portfolio management and risk measurements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including VBA programming skills.
  • Ability to make decisions, establish priorities and act quickly in a high-pressure environment.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
