
Dynamic Leadership Opportunity in Speech Pathology Services

This is a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity for an experienced speech pathologist to provide high-quality services and clinical leadership within a speech pathology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing patients with communicative-communicative and swallowing disorders in a subacute setting.
The role involves providing strong leadership and contributing to the strategic plan and vision of the department. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that speech pathology services provided are based on the latest available evidence.
- Provide high-quality assessment, management and therapy services to patients with communicative-communicative and swallowing disorders
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the department's strategic plan and vision
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that speech pathology services are integrated into the broader healthcare service
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and knowledge of Speech Pathology Australia position papers / Code of Ethics
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
- At least 7 years' experience in adult Speech Pathology
- Highly developed interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, identify and build relationships with key stakeholders
