Senior Clinical Leader in Speech Pathology

This role offers a senior leadership opportunity with clinical expertise in subacute speech pathology management of patients with communicative-communicative and swallowing disorders.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality services and clinical leadership within the Speech Pathology department across rehabilitation and GEM wards at multiple campuses. The role involves strong leadership, contributing to the strategic plan and vision of the department, assessment and management of patients, and ensuring that speech pathology services are based on the latest available evidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and management of patients in accordance with up-to-date knowledge of departmental clinical policies and currently accepted Speech Pathology Australia professional standards of practice.
  • Ensuring that speech pathology services provided are based on the latest available evidence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), or Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and knowledge of Speech Pathology Australia position papers/Code of Ethics.
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.
  • At least 7 years' experience in adult Speech Pathology.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills incorporating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, identify and build relationships with key stakeholders.
