
Senior Activity Coordinator

Life at a care facility is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, you will be part of a team that develops and implements activities and programs to promote social, psychological, recreational cultural and spiritual wellbeing.
This role requires someone with a kind heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly. You will need to conduct resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each residents preference and needs, and plan and implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends.
You will act as a team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team, while working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role you'll need:
- A Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Strong coaching/training skills
- Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
- Great IT skills - this will be tested
- NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
