Claims Specialist, Supporting Independence

THE OPPORTUNITY

Alongside this, you will be responsible for proactively and effectively managing all aspects of caseloads of worker's compensation claims within the SA legislation and compliance guidelines.
This will be a Full-time permanent position based in the Adelaide office, with flexibility to work from home.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide workers compensation advice to stakeholders such as workers, employers and providers
- Deliver personalised face-to-face assistance to Seriously Injured Workers
- Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management for Seriously Injured Workers, aimed at their independence, improve their quality of life and return to work.
- Ensure case management is in accordance with SA legislation and compliance guidelines
- Pro-actively manage rehabilitation providers and approval of rehabilitation plans in accordance with EML's guidelines and agreed department and Return to Work SA standards
ABOUT YOU
- Knowledge of the relevant worker's compensation legislation and regulations would be beneficial
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills
- Empathy and understanding for others
- The ability to effectively listen and understand the needs of the customer and what is important to them to enable their recovery and return to work
