Sales Executive

Job Description:

As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving new business growth for our data platform products. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of prospective direct and partner opportunities to exceed revenue targets while ensuring productive, long-term, and mutually beneficial partnerships.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of enterprise technology, including Cloud, XaaS, interoperability/integration, databases, analytics, IoT, and AI. They will have a proven track record of winning business with enterprise accounts and state/national government.

Responsibilities:
  1. Discover, qualify, and develop new data platforms business opportunities.
  2. Develop relationships with named solution, implementation, and system integrator partners.
  3. Develop new opportunities in both enterprise and government end-user organizations.
  4. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of well-qualified sales opportunities for new business.
  5. Develop new customer relationships, engage senior decision-makers, and nurture technical, alliance, and sales relationships.
  6. Develop and execute a sales plan/account plan to exceed revenue goals.
  7. Provide accurate forecasting to regional management.
  8. Coordinate internal technical and non-technical resources to ensure customers are successful with their investment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Self-driven 'Hunter' with a strong drive for success and results.
  • Deep experience in and understanding of enterprise sales and value-based selling.
  • 5+ years related sales experience with above-quota performance.
  • Proven experience in developing and successfully executing against a sales plan.
  • Demonstrable track record of increasing revenue through new logo, direct end-user customer acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience selling software solutions into diverse vertical markets.
  • Good understanding of Cloud, XaaS, database, interoperability/integration, analytics, IoT, and AI value propositions.
