After Hours Support Specialist

The role of After Hours Support Specialist is situated within our National After-Hours Services Unit, which provides a responsive support service to our residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management programs that cater for young people with complex needs, and a therapeutically oriented program for young people in placements.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Preston. The position reports to the respective Coordinator.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A deep understanding of cultural awareness and an appreciation of the current issues faced by children, young people and their families.
  • Experience in youth services or residential care.
  • Ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Experience and understanding of OH&S issues in the workplace.
