Behaviour Support Practitioners play a vital role in providing high-quality services to vulnerable members of our community. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to the growth and development of our participants.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning, collaborating closely with NDIS participants, their families, and carers.
  • Evaluate, develop, and deliver evidence-based support plans in complex environments, ensuring they reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.
  • Develop meaningful goals and practical strategies using positive behaviour support frameworks, focusing on eliminating restrictive practices in home and community settings.
  • Ensure individual plans are tailored to participants' unique needs, building knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting them.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners as needed.
Requirements

To be considered suitable for this role, you must:

  • Hold current suitability at the Core or Proficient level as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, confirmed by the relevant authorities.
  • Have experience in report writing and mentoring/supervising other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
  • Exhibit a proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • Be passionate about working in the disability sector.
