Specialist Family Violence Support Specialist
The role of the Specialist Family Violence Support Specialist is to deliver high-quality support to women and children experiencing family violence across a designated region.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify the needs of women and children experiencing family violence.
- Coordinate the delivery of culturally safe family violence responses, addressing the unique risks and needs posed by family violence to women and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Provide specialist family violence response to women and children who are/have experienced family violence.
- Develop and implement safety plans in collaboration with other services and stakeholders to increase the safety of women and children experiencing family violence.
Key Responsibilities:
The Specialist Family Violence Support Specialist will have extensive knowledge of family violence and its impact on women and children from diverse backgrounds. The Specialist must be able to work effectively with interpreters when supporting women and children who experience language barriers.
