Geriatric Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Care Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an Enrolled Nurse in our Acute Geriatric Evaluation and Management (AGEM) unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to elderly patients with complex needs.

The AGEM unit is a multidisciplinary team focused on providing specialized care to geriatric patients. As a Geriatric Care Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Patient Care and Monitoring
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
  • Coordinating and Communicating with Healthcare Teams
  • Providing Education and Health Promotion
  • Training and Development in Specialised Areas

You will work closely with nursing staff to ensure excellent patient care and support the development of comprehensive care plans. Opportunities for career advancement exist in geriatric and palliative care, leading to more advanced roles in the healthcare system.
