Behavioural Support Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to NDIS participants.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments through person-centred planning
  • Develop and implement evidence-based support plans in complex environments
  • Create meaningful goals and practical strategies using positive behaviour support frameworks

You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure individual plans align with participants' goals, passions, and strengths. This role requires excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a proactive attitude and passion for working in the disability sector.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to NDIS participants and their families/carers
  • Design and deliver individualised support plans
  • Broaden knowledge and capacity of those supporting participants
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mentoring less experienced Behavioural Support Specialists

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at Core or Proficient level
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising other Behavioural Support Specialists
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude and genuine passion for working in the disability sector
