Job Title: Family Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify safety and risk concerns for children and young people.
  • Engage in collaborative practice that acknowledges and respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their family.
  • Source accurate information and make informed decisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
  • Develop strong relationships within the program, practice, and legislative frameworks to drive meaningful change.
  • Maintain effective networks and partnerships with external agencies to deliver coordinated services.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in frontline child protection services or statutory investigation services.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with practical experience.
  • Other related degrees are considered if relevant knowledge, skills, and experience can be demonstrated.
  • A valid driver's license and paid working with children clearance number are essential.
