The Specialist Family Violence Practitioner plays a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive support to women and children experiencing family violence across the region.

Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough MARAM briefs to assess risk and needs, ensuring comprehensive and culturally sensitive support for women and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Coordinate high-quality family violence responses that prioritize child-focused, developmentally appropriate, and culturally safe practices, addressing unique risks and needs posed by trauma.
- Develop and implement tailored safety plans, collaborating with stakeholders to increase safety and well-being for women and children experiencing family violence.
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline, or a Graduate Certificate in Family Violence as per recommendation.
- Proven experience using MARAM to assess risk, needs, and protective factors, with demonstrated expertise in safety planning and referral pathways.
- Experience working with complex cases involving trauma, substance abuse, mental health, parenting issues, disability, and CALD or indigenous backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in preparing reports, maintaining records, and database management.
