Job Description

Public Sector People is partnering with a local government organisation to find a Procurement and Contracts Officer.

This 12-15 month contract role requires you to work 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-level management support to the centre-led procurement function of Council.

  • Coordinate supply chain and procurement systems, including data input, maintenance, verification, and reporting.
  • SUPPORT PROCUREMENT BUSINESS PARTNERS by maintaining procurement documentation through coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
System Coordination

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Contract Management
  • Procurement Business Partner Support
  • Procurement Risk Management
Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Essential
    • Availability to work Monday to Wednesday and to flex up when required.
    • Experience of procurement within Local Government
    • Class C Driver's Licence
    • Demonstrated understanding of Local Government procurement legislation and policies
    • Demonstrated knowledge in public tendering and contract development
    • Demonstrated high level of computer literacy
    • Demonstrated analytical, planning, and organisational skills
  • Desirable
    • Qualification in procurement or administration
    • VENDOR PANEL SYSTEM COORDINATION/MANAGEMENT
    • TechnologyOne / OneCouncil system coordination / management

Estimated salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum based on location and experience.
