About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Sourcing and Contract Management Professional to join our team at Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA). The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing services, managing contracts, and driving supplier innovation.

Job Description

The Procurement Sourcing Specialist will report to our Group Head of Procurement and will be based in Sydney. The role involves developing and delivering sourcing strategies, identifying cost and performance drivers, and providing end-to-end support in contract management.

  • Sourcing Strategies: Develop and deliver sourcing strategies for assigned categories/services/projects, identifying cost and performance drivers to drive value for VGA and optimize spend under management.
  • Contract Management: Provide end-to-end support in contract management, including contract drafting, internal approval processes, contract execution, and record management.
  • Vendor Escalations: Act as vendor escalation contact for VGA and drive long-term supplier innovation.
  • Procurement Insights: Provide advice to stakeholders on procurement insights and requirements for new initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with Group Procurement policies and procedures, code of conduct, ethical practices, industry principles, and relevant laws and regulations.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce/economics/law/engineering is required.
  • Procurement Experience: Strong experience within procurement, sourcing, category management, or projects background is essential.
  • Automotive Passion: Automotive passion or understanding is desirable.
  • Competitive Tender Management: Experience in management of competitive tenders is necessary.
  • Negotiation and Problem-Solving Skills: Successful negotiation, problem-solving, and project management skillset is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
