As a Health Safety and Environment Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our workforce by implementing effective monitoring plans, identifying hazards, and closing gaps in our safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist site leaders in executing action plans, conducting risk assessments, and developing strategies to mitigate potential risks
- Attend and record minutes from safety committee meetings
- Provide administrative support to the HSE Manager, including data analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with the site training manager to identify additional training needs and develop customized training programs
- Conduct regular site audits, inspect equipment, and report on any defects or issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant OH&S legislation and regulations
- Foster a culture of safety awareness among employees through communication and training initiatives

Requirements:

- Minimum Cert. IV in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
- 1-2 years experience in a similar industry with a focus on occupational health and safety
- Strong understanding of OHS laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage competing priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
