We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Specialist to play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to join our organization during an exciting growth phase. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring effective management of workplace safety risks and employee health and wellbeing
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to establish a culture of wellbeing, health and safety
- Identifying and assessing hazards, and taking steps to implement controls to eliminate or minimise risk
- Driving compliance across sites to local regulatory requirements and WHS strategy
You will also be responsible for Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation, including developing return to work programs and partnering with leaders to identify support needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will provide expert advice and strategic support on wellbeing and mental health models and programs.
- Consulting and coaching leaders to manage and embed behaviours
- Promoting health and wellbeing initiatives and activities
- Using data to drive decision making and enable insight, awareness and action
