Workplace Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety and well-being across three private facilities with a focus on mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective safety and wellbeing processes and programs to drive continuous improvement in performance.
- Build capability and enhance personal accountability for safety amongst managers and leaders through coaching, mentoring, and influencing.
- Drive safe systems of work, quality incident investigations, and delivery of visible leadership through learning, coaching, and monitoring programs.
- Identify operational safety issues and provide advice and assistance to identify opportunities and solutions that enhance safety outcomes.
As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist, you will also participate in risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments, contributing to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting control verification, and leading complex investigations.
Additionally, you will coordinate site WHS assurance activities, coach managers and teams in effective delivery of the program, and participate in the Assurance Program to monitor and verify the requirements of the WHSW Standards and Procedures.
