About the Role

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Nursing or Social Work, interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Wagga Wagga NSW. In this diverse role, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Management - You will be responsible for managing caseloads, with the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Return to Work Outcomes - You will apply your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes for clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.
  • Injury Prevention and Workplace Education - You will work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Collaboration and Communication - You will work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Assessment and Support - You will complete a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications - You will hold tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Registration or Membership - You will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Previous Experience - Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills - You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion and Empathy - You will demonstrate compassion and empathy in your work, with a strong focus on providing high-quality care and support.
  • Time Management and Organization - You will have well-developed time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Current NSW Driver's License - You will hold a current NSW Driver's License and have access to your own car with comprehensive insurance.
