About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Injury Management Specialist to join our team at Gallagher Bassett, a leading organization in the Workers Compensation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Personal Injury expertise in the review of complex medical requests arising from Worker's Compensation claims
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and Treating Health Providers to review and make recommendations for treatment plans for injured workers based on medical advice and evidence
  • Liaise with Medical Advisors relating to specialized and niched requests for surgery and treatment to ensure Worksafe and industry guidelines are being adhered to
  • Advise employers, employer consultants, and other stakeholders with updates regarding injury management strategies
  • Provide quality customer service to injured workers, employers, employer consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Provide Injury Management expertise and advice, as well as coaching and mentoring to claims managers
  • Ensure timely, educated, and informed medical claims management decisions are made, with an objective to improve outcomes for all parties involved
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications within the Allied Health or Personal Injury industry and/or Work experience within the personal injury management or Workers Compensation industry
  • Expertise in implementing relevant legislation as part of decision making within the insurance industry
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills, and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for coaching and mentoring
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
