About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Injury Management Advisor to join our team at Gallagher. As an Injury Management Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and assistance to our claims staff to promote effective injury management for injured workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing your expertise in injury management to review complex medical requests arising from Workers' Compensation claims.
- Collaborating with Case Managers and Treating Health Providers to review and make recommendations for treatment plans for injured workers based on medical advice and evidence.
- Liaising with Medical Advisors to ensure Worksafe and industry guidelines are being adhered to as part of treatment requests.
- Advising employers, employer consultants, and other stakeholders on injury management strategies.
- Providing quality customer service to injured workers, employers, employer consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Providing Injury Management expertise and advice, as well as coaching and mentoring to claims managers.
- Ensuring timely, educated, and informed medical claims management decisions are made to improve outcomes for all parties involved.
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Tertiary qualifications within the Allied Health or Personal Injury industry and/or work experience within the personal injury management or Workers Compensation industry.
- Expertise in implementing relevant legislation as part of decision-making within the insurance industry.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills, and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for coaching and mentoring.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
