  • Ventia seeks a skilled Transport Safety Specialist to lead our WA Transport Team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safety and well-being of everyone involved in transport projects, promoting a strong culture of safety throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety management plans aligned with client-specific requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with SHEQ legislation, industry standards, and ISO standards.
  • Provide regular updates on safety and health legislation changes, organisational practices, and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure safety standards are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Deliver safety coaching and training to workers and subcontractors.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a safety professional, with a focus on SHEQ in transport, civil, or construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a FIFO environment and adapt to remote site conditions.
