About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Engagement and Communications Officer to join our Rail Planning Branch. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the planning and development of high-value transport infrastructure projects, ensuring that our stakeholder communication activities are both effective and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage stakeholders throughout the planning and development phases of key projects.
  • Work closely with the Senior Engagement and Communications Advisor to identify relevant project stakeholders and keep them informed about ongoing PTA planning projects.
  • Craft clear, engaging content for various platforms, including reports, presentations, and social media.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination across teams.
  • Analyse complex information and translate it into clear, impactful communications for diverse audiences.
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, and other key documents for stakeholder meetings.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in public relations, communications, or stakeholder engagement, particularly in infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research, apply analysis, and prepare communications strategies and devised outcomes as required.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
