About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Engagement and Communications Officer to join our Rail Planning Branch. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the planning and development of high-value transport infrastructure projects, ensuring that our stakeholder communication activities are both effective and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure timely and professional communication with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Engagement and Communications Advisor to identify relevant project stakeholders and keep them informed about ongoing PTA planning projects.
  • Prepare clear, engaging content for various platforms, including reports, presentations, and social media.
  • Ensure accurate and timely editing and proofreading of materials to maintain the highest level of quality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in public relations, communications, or stakeholder engagement, particularly in infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, apply analysis, and prepare communications strategies and devised outcomes as required.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
