The Donor Relationship Officer role involves managing and cultivating a portfolio of donors, leveraging relationship-based moves management strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors towards deeper financial engagement.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 600-700 mid-level donors.
  • Work closely with the business intelligence team to effectively tier donor portfolios based on activity and capacity.
  • Develop, execute and grow a donor engagement strategy including donor giving history, future revenue goals, donor contact plans, marketing and communications touch points, donor passions, interests identification and individual donor communication preferences.
  • Attract, convert and retain new mid-level donors.
  • Develop and execute lapsed donor strategies to financially re-engage mid-level donors.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years of proven experience delivering results in a fundraising or sales environment, and strong donor cultivation or customer service experience. They will also have high-level interpersonal skills, strong administrative skills, self-motivation, organisation, discipline, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
