We are seeking a Donor Relationship Officer to join our team. As a key member of our advancement office, you will play a crucial role in cultivating and retaining relationships with mid-level donors.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, as well as experience in developing and executing donor engagement strategies.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 600 - 700 mid-level donors using relationship-based moves management strategies.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to effectively tier donor portfolios based on activity and capacity.
  • Develop and execute donor engagement strategies including donor giving history, future revenue goals, marketing and communications touch points, donor passions and interest identification, and relationship-based moves management plan activities.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Attracting, converting and retaining new mid-level donors.
  2. Developing and executing lapsed donor strategies to financially re-engage mid-level donors.
  3. Ensuring increased donor retention, donor value retention, giving and movement of relationship qualified donors to major donor portfolios.
  4. Researching potential donors from within existing mass segments and creating new opportunities through external research on strategies and prospects.
  5. Working with relevant team members to cultivate and retain monthly freedom partners.
