About the Role

This position is based in Sydney – Australia and reports to Lead Philanthropy. The successful candidate will manage and cultivate a portfolio of donors, leveraging relationship-based moves management strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors towards deeper financial engagement.

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of approximately 600 – 700 Mid-level Donors with a tiered approach.
  • Work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to effectively tier donor portfolio based on activity and capacity.
  • Develop, execute and grow a donor engagement strategy including marketing and communications touch points, donor passions, interest identification, and understanding individual donor communication preferences.
  • Attract, convert and retain new Mid-level Donors.
  • Develop and execute lapsed donor strategies to financially re-engage Mid-level Donors.
  • Ensure increased donor retention, donor value retention, giving and movement of relationship qualified donors to Major Donor portfolio.
  • Actively research potential donors from within the existing mass segment and create new opportunities through external research on strategies and prospects.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have strong donor cultivation or customer service experience, high-level interpersonal skills, and a natural ability to influence and clearly articulate information. They will also have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams, self-motivated, organised and disciplined to work independently, and a creative and innovative mindset to advance program goals.

  • 3+ years of proven experience delivering results in a fundraising or sales environment.
  • Proven track record of effectiveness as a collaborator on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing, tracking and reporting on the financial efforts of a donor portfolio.
  • Experience with donor cultivation, donor portfolio and moves management.
