About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team at Brisbane Airport as a People and Culture Business Partner. This is a key leadership role in our contract, responsible for all People and Culture activities across our aviation security operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with site leadership to provide HR and safety guidance across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and advise on workforce planning through collaboration with internal functions.
  • Provide advice on Enterprise Agreement interpretation and ISS Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage complex ER matters, including workplace investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Represent ISS in meetings and negotiations with employees and Unions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including site leaders and union representatives.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and devise ways to boost morale and improve retention.
  • Promote the ISS Cultural Calendar and implement Diversity and Inclusion activities.
  • Implement ISS P&C programs, including training and performance appraisals.
  • Provide advice and support in HSE matters and ensure regulatory obligations are met.
  • Develop and implement people and safety initiatives aligned with business strategy and operational requirements.
  • Drive a positive operational culture that fosters open communication and demonstrates a commitment to employee safety and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or similar.
  • Previous experience in an Aviation/Airport environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering people advice and solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
  • Proven leadership capability managing people & culture requirements in a dynamic operating environment.
  • Ability to pivot focus to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, high-pressure working environment.
  • Sound understanding of incident and investigation procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess excellent organisational, time management and effective verbal/written communication skills.
  • Flexibility, resilience and willingness to adapt to and embrace change.
  • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification (ASIC) card.
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
