About the Role:

The Echo Entertainment Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Executive Sous Chef to join our Culinary team at The Star Sydney. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our Food & Beverage outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of culinary professionals to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and labor to ensure efficient operations and maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results and achieve company objectives.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Chef De Cuisine in a large team environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to drive financial results and improve operational efficiency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of current food trends and menu development.
  • Project management experience and ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
