Diverse Learning Specialist for K-6 Students

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Diverse Learning Teacher to join our team.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to work in a dynamic environment, supporting students with diverse needs across Key Stage 1 and 2 (K-6).
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to create engaging learning environments tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with class teachers to design effective learning activities and support individuals or small groups of students.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans (PPs) for students with diverse needs, in consultation with stakeholders.
- Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to different learning styles.
- Utilise data-driven approaches to set challenging learning objectives and provide constructive feedback.
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet their diverse needs.
- Demonstrate expertise in developing a comprehensive K-6 curriculum and applying effective learning pedagogies.
- Showcase high-level administrative skills to manage student documentation, analyse data, and contribute to the collation of documents in line with the National Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), including participation in moderation processes.
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
- Bachelor's degree in Inclusive Education or extensive experience.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and its application in educational settings.
- Show knowledge of the NCCD process and its implications for student support and reporting.
- Demonstrate the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese offers quality education and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools, as well as early learning and out-of-school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment, including a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check, and adherence to CSPD'S Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.
