Inclusive Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inclusive Education Specialist to join our team in Western Sydney. As an integral member of our educational community, you will play a critical role in supporting students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with class teachers to design tailored learning activities and provide targeted support to individuals or small groups of students.
- Create, implement, and monitor personalized learning plans (PLPs) for students with diverse needs, working closely with stakeholders.
- Establish a supportive and engaging learning environment that caters to individual learning styles and abilities.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to set challenging learning objectives and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet their diverse needs effectively.
- Demonstrate expertise in developing K-6 curricula and applying effective learning pedagogies.
- Exhibit high-level administrative skills to manage student documentation, analyze student data, and contribute to the collation of documents in line with NCCD guidelines, including participation in moderation processes.
- Stay informed about and ensure compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and relevant education standards.
- Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and accreditation to teach in NSW.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Inclusive Education or extensive experience in a related field.
- Display a strong understanding of the DDA and its application in educational settings.
- Have knowledge of the NCCD process and its implications for student support and reporting.
- Show the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out-of-school hours care centres in Western Sydney.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment, including a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check, and adoption and compliance with CSPD's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct when working with students and children.
CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, as well as children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$105,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Successful candidates must have a valid Working with Children Check.
