We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer in Medical Education to join our team at the University of Wollongong.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of teaching and learning experiences for students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

As a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education, you will be responsible for contributing to the development, teaching, and review of Case-Based Learning (CBL) activities for medical students across the four years of the medical program.

This includes developing documents and resources for new and current CBL activities, teaching whole-group and small-group sessions, and supporting relevant assessment activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement teaching and learning experiences for medical students
  • Contribute to the development and review of CBL activities
  • Teach whole-group and small-group sessions
  • Support relevant assessment activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Medically qualified with unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW
  • Experience in rural or regional medical practice
  • A strong understanding of inquiry-based learning approaches
  • Expertise in teaching within a university, health, or medical school environment
