Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our supply chain management team at Primeline Group.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse activities, providing up-to-date information, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

They will drive productivity and accuracy, maximizing resources while ensuring adherence to customer service levels and targets.

A key focus will be on leading by example, promoting a culture that prioritizes health & safety, hygiene, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and report the effectiveness of department activities
  • Communicate key metrics to principals
  • Analyze operations and staff performance
  • Complete daily operational audits
  • Ensure all operational functions and processes align with company policy and statutory legislation
  • Drive development and mobilization of standardized training and skills improvement within Supply Chain
  • Conduct daily shift meetings with staff, communicating shift expectations, company updates, and improvements required
  • Supervise, manage, and assist in daily Warehouse and Transport operations, ensuring all staff operate to required standards and rates
  • Ensure accuracy of consignments and supporting documentation across all client accounts
  • Maximize warehouse storage capacity
  • Recommend measures to improve quality of service, increase efficiency of department and team members, and equipment performance

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Compliance with health & safety and reduction in loss time accidents
  • Control and management of absence within contractual levels
  • People development incorporating completion of reviews
  • Budgetary responsibility with scope of functional accountability
  • Warehouse labour and associated productivity targets
  • Maximize warehouse utilization and associated operational space
  • Maintain stock through completion of inventory checks and audits

Requirements:

  • Overall knowledge of Supply Chain with associated qualification
  • Excellent IT skills; SAP experience desirable
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Strong data analysis
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
