Salary Package

This role offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $120,000-$150,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications. Job Description

As a Logistics Operations Director at Avery Dennison's Melbourne DC, you will be responsible for leading the local distribution centre team and warehouse operations. Your primary objectives will include:

  • Managing the slitting and distribution activities of the DC, ensuring optimal effectiveness and efficiency
  • Measuring and monitoring performance against established metrics, ensuring customer order requests are met or exceeded
  • Driving scrap, waste, and energy reduction initiatives aligned with Avery Dennison's sustainability goals
  • Liaising with Supply Chain for incoming inventory management and managing outgoing freight according to customer service agreements
  • Establishing a process mindset, applying Lean and Six Sigma tools, and introducing change through processes, programs, and communication strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Rlevant tertiary qualifications (preferably degree qualified and/or relevant industry-recognized training)
  • At least 10 years of experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in ELS and EHS
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability, excellent planning and organization skills, and advanced reporting and computer systems skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
