Key Responsibilities:
- Manage injury and health cases, including return-to-work plans, and workers' compensation, in collaboration with the WHS Advisor.
- Analyse WHS data to monitor accident trends and prepare reports.
- Review and investigate incident reports involving employees, visitors, and contractors to support managers and ensure thorough investigations.
- Ensure coverage of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), First Aid Officers, and Wardens. Coordinate quarterly feedback sessions with representatives.
- Maintain relationships with HSRs, WHS Committee members, and Site Leaders to manage WHS activities.
- Assist in WHS Committee meetings and coordinate Emergency Response plans.
- Manage workers' compensation policies and wage information.
- Support the WHS Advisor in ensuring compliance with workplace legislation.
- Deliver health and safety training to leaders and employees.
- Develop and maintain WHS resources and content.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Injury Management and WHS practices, particularly WHS metrics and national workers' compensation legislation, is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional administrative skills, with a keen attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to work effectively with multiple clients.
- Demonstrated initiative, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Proactive approach to managing responsibilities and resolving challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Strong research skills with the ability to apply learnings to improve processes and outcomes.
- Ideally, in progress towards or completed a Workplace Health and Safety Certificate IV or degree.
