Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage injury and health cases, including return-to-work plans, and workers' compensation, in collaboration with the WHS Advisor.
  • Analyse WHS data to monitor accident trends and prepare reports.
  • Review and investigate incident reports involving employees, visitors, and contractors to support managers and ensure thorough investigations.
  • Ensure coverage of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), First Aid Officers, and Wardens. Coordinate quarterly feedback sessions with representatives.
  • Maintain relationships with HSRs, WHS Committee members, and Site Leaders to manage WHS activities.
  • Assist in WHS Committee meetings and coordinate Emergency Response plans.
  • Manage workers' compensation policies and wage information.
  • Support the WHS Advisor in ensuring compliance with workplace legislation.
  • Deliver health and safety training to leaders and employees.
  • Develop and maintain WHS resources and content.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Injury Management and WHS practices, particularly WHS metrics and national workers' compensation legislation, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional administrative skills, with a keen attention to detail, accuracy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple clients.
  • Demonstrated initiative, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proactive approach to managing responsibilities and resolving challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to apply learnings to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ideally, in progress towards or completed a Workplace Health and Safety Certificate IV or degree.
